A Blade's Keen Edge
Short Description:
Triolet is a french form appearing as early as the 13th century, though none were composed in English until 1651, just out of SCA period.
Written for a bardic competition at Skewered
Poem (Canso):
A blade’s keen edge may give us pain
But the sword is sharpest at it’s tip
Here, in the counting of the slain
A blade’s keen edge may give us pain
But from the calling of the names
These bitter salted tears do slip
A blade's keen edge may give us pain
But the sword is sharpest at it’s tip
